Ways to Increase Your YouTube

Ways to Increase Your YouTube Views

By Rob Fore

If you look at YouTube as a website where you can upload videos, then you are going nowhere near getting many hits for your videos. With this outlook, you are using the site for personal entertainment regardless of whether or not you are going to create a sensation out of your videos. But if you are looking to monetize your videos, you should be looking at YouTube differently. If you look at YouTube as a social media site, you are on a right perspective to increase YouTube views for your videos.

There are several easy steps to increase YouTube views. However, these steps are often taken for granted. Many of those who post on YouTube thinks it is enough to produce a funny video and upload it on the site to make a video go viral. While content is very crucial to make the video more likely to get noticed, there are other ways on how you can increase the chances of getting hits.

Do Not Skip the MetaData

Creating your video and uploading them is not all the task to get hits in YouTube. You also have to fill up the required meta data including the title heading, description, tags and categories. Fight the temptation of skipping this step. Your patience will pay off because these data help increase the probabilities of your videos getting more views. Your video will not just be an instant hit. Your video will continue getting increased YouTube views even after many months. Meta data does not only increase the chance of getting search on YouTube, but also on other sites such as search engines.

Create a Relevant Thumbnail

Another step to increase YouTube views is to create a thumbnail for your video. A thumbnail is basically a snapshot that best represents your video. It could be an image, text or a frozen part of your video. You have the choice of creating a thumbnail if you are a partner of YouTube. You can customize the design so you have the option of creating one. If you are not a partner of YouTube, the site will auto-generate three thumbnail options for you to choose from. Make sure your thumbnails look good to easily capture the attention of viewers whether in YouTube of in search engines.

Use Annotations to Your Advantage

Annotations can also increase YouTube views. They are small texts that are integrated into the video as overlays. Annotations can be information, subscription box or relevant links that will help your audience to remember that you have other videos or that you have products and services that they could purchase to help them with their daily problems. Annotations help generate traffic by increasing the chances of getting your ads clicked or by increasing your Google ranking.

Edit Your Video to a Suitable Running Time

It is important to include vital and rich content to increase YouTube views. Many people are no longer looking for short and funny videos but have poor content. They would be willing to watch a longer video if they want to learn about vital information to solve their problems. If your video is simply commercial, then there is no need to create a very long one. If your video is procedural and educational, you can edit it to a desirable length of time so that the content will not be sacrificed. Content can increase YouTube views and can help build trust among your potential market.

Maximizing Your Profits With A YouTube Site

Maximizing Your Profits With A YouTube Site

By Travis Ross

Getting the most exposure for your business is essential to capturing sales and maximizing profits. While most business owners understand the importance of optimizing their sites for the Web, few realize the impact that a YouTube channel can have on site traffic. Developing a dynamic YouTube channel is essential to your company's marketing plan.

YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world, with billions of page views every day. This means a goldmine of potential customers for your business. You can use a YouTube account to showcase new products and services, deliver information and news or get the word out about events. YouTube has become more popular than some cable television networks, attracting viewers in all age ranges. Use YouTube to generate leads and attract new ones.

There are several ways to get started in your YouTube video creation project. Many people create a simple video that includes dialogue and product information. You can also use your video to conduct a workshop or how-to on your product. If you sell birdhouse kits, for example, create a video that will show customers how to decorate and hang their finished birdhouses.

You can also create a video that gives information on different species of bird that these houses attract. The key is to give customers what they are looking for. This will give them a reason to visit your YouTube page again and again. They will also share your content with friends on the Web, bringing in even more customers for your business.

Creating Your YouTube Video

The first step in creating your video is to decide on a theme. Perhaps your channel will be a how-to series that gives step-by-step instructions on how to use your products. Your channel can be a series of commercials on your company. Whatever you choose, be sure to stick with the theme for best results.

Record your video in a well-lit room with a plain background. Create a test video that will give you an idea of your audio and visual quality. Maximize your video for the Web. When you are finished uploading it to YouTube, create a title and description that will attract the attention of the search engines. Create a closed caption to accompany your script. Not only will it make it easier for your viewers to follow along, it will make it simpler for searchers to find your video.

Create relevant headlines with key words, include a keyword-optimized description and record your video in high definition. You will start to see the results of your YouTube video creation in no time.

Creating a video for the Web is an excellent way to showcase your business and attract more customers. Whether you are creating your own video or hiring an outside firm, there is no question that these videos get results. Create your company's YouTube video today.

Small Business Marketing Solutions

Small Business Marketing Solutions Using YouTube For Business

By Ray Riechert

When you are planning your small business marketing, you hear from many sources you should be on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and YouTube. But why are these social media sites important?

We'll specifically take a look at the benefits your business can get from YouTube and Facebook. Both platforms use videos to engage their viewers and address the questions they have.

If you own a small business, you cannot ignore this fact because YouTube for business spills over into the Facebook market very rapidly.

CNet reported that 680 million out of 1.06 billion Facebook users used mobile devices at the end of 2012. And Comscore reported that nearly one-third of Americans (129 million) used Smartphones as of the first quarter of 2013.

These facts alone suggest that Facebook and YouTube are a force to be reckoned with in mobile marketing. In fact, YouTube reported that videos views on mobile devices tripled in 2011.

As a small business, video marketing on YouTube and mobile marketing with Facebook can help you grow your business by sharing relevant content, networking and providing marketing solutions.

If you had to choose one that could impact your business the most, which one would you choose, Facebook or YouTube? Let's address the benefits of both platforms.

More and more people are seeking video responses to their questions so this would give the edge to YouTube. Plus, YouTube videos get many more views because videos can be shared among more social platforms than Facebook alone.

YouTube is becoming more of a player in the social media world. The use of annotations, social media icons and clickable links to associated websites makes YouTube extremely attractive.

In terms of video SEO, YouTube encourages you to add at least 10 keywords to your "Tag" section so they can properly categorize your information for viewers.

YouTube creators dream of having their videos go viral, but the chance of that happening are very, very small. On Facebook it can be a different story.

Since videos can be shared with the "Like" button On Facebook, it is easier to create more links on "Friends" and "Fans". This makes it possible for the videos to go viral on Facebook.

As was mentioned previously, new generations of Smartphone users view their Facebook page 68% of the time. This makes it difficult to ignore the impact of Facebook and mobile marketing.

Is there a clear winner here? No there is not. The most important consideration when using these platforms is to know why you plan on using them.

To say, "I need to be on Facebook or YouTube" is irrelevant if you don't have a purpose for doing small business marketing. Both platforms are outstanding marketing solutions when used to help the end-user - your customer.

How to Properly Link to Your YouTube Channel

How to Properly Link to Your YouTube Channel for Maximum SEO Link Equity

By Oliver F Momeni

It's common to see YouTube videos in various other sites. With the growing popularity of online videos, it's one of the video marketing strategies to promote YouTube channels by linking them to other sites, expecting to maximize link equity as more visitors visit the channel. However, it's not as simple as posting your YouTube channel URL at various sites. What is more important is that you used the correct format of your YouTube channel URL.

So, what is the correct format of YouTube channel URL that will maximize link equity? If your channel name is Tumbleweed Team, the channel URL should be youtube.com/user/TumbleweedTeam instead of just youtube.com/TumbleweedTeam and its other versions. You see the four-letter difference? Although the latter URL will lead viewers to your channel, it will not boost its page rank or link equity.

In fact if you open your channel at the YouTube site and not from an outside link, you'll see this form of URL on the address bar: youtube.com/user/TumbleweedTeam. So, that's the one recognized by Google or YouTube.

Expert Explanation

The best SEO practices require that the link to a site should be to the most dominant part of that site. It's important so that all the inbound links go to only one URL and increases that site's ranking. It was also mentioned that the two Tumbleweed URLs can be used to reach the Tumbleweed YouTube channel. So, the URL without "user" deducts from the actual links to the YouTube channel. The ranking would have been higher if all inbound links are credited to the link using the correct URL (with "user") format.

In other sites, webmasters use canonical URLs to redirect other versions of the URL. However, YouTube does not redirect 1) /Tumbleweed to 2)/user/Tumbleweed. And version #2 is the default URL for your channel within YouTube as also mentioned. So, the links to URL version #1 does not add to the ranking power of the YouTube channel.

So, to be sure that all inbound links add to your YouTube channel's link equity, it's better to use the URL that YouTube also links to. Take note of the format: YouTube.com/user/your channelaccountname when you provide links to other sites online.

Is It Really Effective?

Based on some reports, videos with changed linking format jumped to as much as 25 ranks higher. It is no doubt a very significant increase. Why don't you try it? Maybe with some more video marketing tactics, more online video marketing successes can be achieved.

Why Your Business Needs to Be on YouTube

Why Your Business Needs to Be on YouTube and 3 Steps to Get Started

By Anne Perez

YouTube has become quite a powerhouse as shared video has become so popular in recent years. Is your business on YouTube. If not isn't it time you did. Let's look at why your business needs YouTube marketing.

Let's start by looking at some statistics:
  • 60 hours of video are uploaded every minute, or one hour of video is uploaded to YouTube every second.
  • Over 4 billion videos are viewed a day
  • Over 800 million unique users visit YouTube each month
  • Over 3 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube
  • More video is uploaded to YouTube in one month than the 3 major US networks created in 60 years
  • In 2011, YouTube had more than 1 trillion views, or almost 140 views for every person on Earth

YouTube Press Statistics

Wow! As you can see from the statistics above YouTube is a giant presence on the Internet today. In part due to Google, the world's leading search engine, owning YouTube since 2006 and creating a very beneficial relationship. It is estimated that by 2015 90% internet traffic will be video. Is your business taking advantage of video marketing?

Why your business needs YouTube Marketing

The relationship between YouTube and Google is a strong one and ranking a video high in YouTube will improve your ranking tremendously in Google's search engine. Are you aware that the top listing in Google's organic search results receives an average 46% of the clicks. Number two receives around 25% and number 3 13%. The rest share 16% and paid traffic only receives about 5% of the search engine's visitors. What if you could make your listing stand out with a YouTube video thumbnail? How many more clicks do you think you would receive then?

Tips to success in YouTube Marketing

1) Be clear on the purpose of your video

to increase visitors to your website?
    to capture a lead?
to build awareness of your brand?
    to make a direct sale?

2) Follow the old marketing adage:

Tell them what you're going to tell them. Then Tell them what you want to tell them. Then tell them what you've just told them. Repetition places true emphasis on your message.

3) Include a call to action:

What do you want your video's viewers to do next? Subscribe to a list? Visit your website? buy something? Make it very clear what you want people to do after watching your video.

4) Leave a little time at the end of your YouTube video.

You want your message to sink in and hopefully action to be taken on it before all the related videos come up to distract your viewer.
